Video conference system development status

December 22, 2020
Videoconferencing is the use of television and telephone to hold meetings between users in two or more locations and communicate voice and image communication in real time. It can also attach still images, files, faxes, and other signals. Those who participate in the video conference can express their opinions through the TV, observe the other party's image, movements, expressions, etc., and can show real-life television pictures of real objects, drawings, documents, etc., or display words and pictures written on blackboards and whiteboards. The figure enables people who attend meetings in different locations to feel like having "face-to-face" conversations with each other, in effect replacing the meetings held on-site.
The “2013-2017 China Video Conference System Industry Development Prospects and Investment Strategic Planning Analysis Report” [1] shows that in recent years, the market size of China's video conferencing system has been expanding year by year. In 2009, the industry market scale reached 5.17 billion yuan, compared to 2008. The 4.23 billion yuan grew by 22.22%; the market scale reached 6.63 billion yuan in 2010, an increase of 28.24% year-on-year, the largest increase in recent years. Combined with the growth of major companies, the growth rate of the industry in 2011 was about 19%, and about 10% in 2012. It is estimated that the market size will reach 7.89 billion yuan and 8.76 billion yuan respectively.
In the future, the use of videoconferencing systems will further penetrate into all walks of life. At present, the proportion of users of videoconferencing by our government has reached about 30%. The proportion of the use of key industries such as finance, energy, communications, transportation, medical care, and education has also been continuously increasing. However, there is still huge room for development. The government videoconferencing network will cover towns and towns, financial, telecommunication, energy and other industries will also begin to manage the market more carefully, which will greatly promote the rapid development of the video conferencing system market.
In contrast, the majority of SMEs will be a new growth point for the video conferencing system industry. At present, there are more than 50 million legal person enterprises in China, accounting for more than 99% of the total number of enterprises. With the continuous reduction of costs and the continuous improvement of corporate cost control and business efficiency requirements, video systems will become an important way for SMEs to solve the above problems. Therefore, the market capacity of video conferencing systems for SMEs will show a significant growth. Forwardnet believes that the development speed of the videoconferencing system industry in China during the 12th Five-Year Plan period will be significantly faster than the “Eleventh Five-Year Plan”. It is expected that by the end of the “Twelfth Five-Year Plan”, the market size of the China Video Conferencing System will reach 22 billion Yuan.
